Are Touristy Areas that Bad?

Traveling Suggestions-Are Touristy Areas that Bad?

We have heard lots of people saying, “That area is too touristy,” as a means to change their route. It is exactly great.

Touristy areas offer lots of stuff and drain people’s money. Things may become too hectic, with people doing lots of stuff we do not understand or like.

Is it really true that touristy areas are always bad? Should we really avoid them in our limited time of a leave if we are regular employees and holidaymakers?

It, for sure, depends on the respective person who is about to go on a holiday but in our opinion, touristy areas are great for some reasons:

Think about the Lighthouse of Alexandria or read about it if you do not know it. It was once a tourist attraction. People in Africa from its hinterland came and visited it for our shared curiosity about the things different places offer. Probably, they were not thinking that it was too touristy, but offering something good.

1- Touristy areas are safer

Many cultures are proud of their hospitality and try to ensure comfort of their visitors coming for a purpose. Therefore, the areas that attract the attention of tourists are well protected than natural or rural areas, even if the number of people with bad intentions may increase pro rata the visitors.

There are also handily available hospitals, physicians, police, and taxis for emergencies.

2- Touristy areas may offer good interpersonal shared energy

Think about pilgrimage, Easter, hajj, burials, festivals, conventions, or Buddhist ceremonies, all coming together for a shared purpose like welcoming spring, worshipping, watching a concert, so on. They may be local and travellers can be more and more universal as much and long as they travel but, we are all humans, and we might have a common sense ona town, a landmark, a museum, a cultural article, an archaeological artifact, a local dance or show, a stage performance, a tour to particular place, etc.

3- Touristy areas are mainly the best cared for and maintained areas of a location

It is simply because they are richer, with much better quality and people looking to beautify their merchandise, shops, and whereabouts as well as municipalities trying to convert the money from tourism into public works.
