Spotting and Photographing Boars in Kusadasi

Spotting and Photographing Boars in Kusadasi

Sometimes, an explorer could not be an (explicit) adventurer to show his or her dedication to get into wild places like deserts or forests and explore them ending up finding something new and breakthrough for humanity, science, career, self-satisfaction, etc.

He/she just likes to explore for exploring purposes and let it into the remembrance of memories and it may one day come out in the course of time, with a thing to tell after being buried in the past experiences.

In the period I saw those animals, I was not writing for traveling purposes, I was greatly involved with nature and the things it offers, with decades spent in it and a kind of ecology-related career with a PhD degree.

It was not also a jungle in Africa or Australia to bloat the feeling and tell it to others proudly. It was just a national park called Kusadasi Milli Parki, situated in the district of Kusadasi of the province of Aydin.

I remember I thought when I visited that forested area with a beach offering a great snorkeling experience in the crystal-water at the coastline, “I should bring my son/daughter here to teach a great deal of nature if one day I have one,” rather than writing about or sharing them on social media which was probably not this hectic at that time.

Over a nice period of snorkeling and during a rest in a café, having tea or coffee, I saw those boars, the feeling like one spots a polar bear in Svalbard or a giraffe in Mombasa. The presence of the boars were known to me beforehand and it was the reason for the excitement of seeing them. If it were not the first time, it could invoke another feeling.

I remember, I tried to see them in the vast forest for the rest of the day and photographed some of them. It is always difficult to take a photo of animals, as some of the readers would agree. Over the years, particularly after deciding to write for this blog and I pored over the past photos of my old camera, I wanted to share them. Shame.... I probably saw these photos a couple of weeks ago, not a moment since they were taken. Maybe everything has a wait time in order to be unearthed…
