A Great Side Dish: Ezine Cheese-Turkey
We would like to recommend a side dish (mezze), which is a cheese, from Turkey this time. It is called Ezine Cheese and people in Ezine, a town near the province of Canakkale, make it and it has been so famous that it is even sold with many brands in supermarkets.
Cheese is a must in Turkish restaurants serving alcoholic beverages (Meyhane). It is a good starter and a great one if it is an Ezine one. People sip their raki and take a bite of it.
Use with Alcohol: As you might know, cheese is one of the great companions of wine, particularly red one. It is great with Uzo (Greece), Raki (Turkey), Arac (Arabic world), or Ricard’s (France) but do not forget that a forkful or spoonful of food must be taken after each sip of the drinks. Otherwise, you might hate the drink and spoil your meal pleasure, missing these gastronomic wonders.
Bon Appétit
